Whether you are a student new to the Feldenkrais Method, a practitioner with years of experience, or someone who has always wanted to study but never had the time, join us for this unique experience-a Feldenkrais Retreat from August 12-18, 2017 at the picturesque Medomak Retreat Center. This retreat will focus on reconnecting with one's natural abilities to think, move, and feel. Awareness Through Movement classes (R), which were developed by the Israeli physicist, Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais, are slow, quiet, deep explorations of our inner experience of moving. Over time we become habituated to doing things the same way-whether it still works well or not. ATM (R) lessons allow us to get better acquainted with different options of movement, enhancing our abilities to move more easily through life itself. Come and discover that you still have that brilliant brain for learning to move more easily, efficiently, and comfortably at whatever interests you!
The instructors, Suzanne Thompson and Julie Casson Rubin, combine their talents and love of teaching for this unique getaway. Meet the instructors Three ATM classes a day, gourmet meals, and free time for sight-seeing and shopping in the picture-perfect Maine fishing villages on the coast will enhance this inner-learning experience.
